Who this covers
This policy applies to meliorasolutions.org, operated by Meliora Solutions, an accounting and business services firm based in Raleigh, North Carolina. Information you give us once you become a client is additionally governed by the engagement letter you sign with us.
What we collect
We keep this deliberately small. Through this website we collect:
- What you type into the contact form — your name, email address, and optionally your business name and phone number, plus the service you selected, your preferred language and your message.
- Basic server logs — our host records standard request data such as IP address, browser type and the time of the request. We do not use this to build a profile of you.
- A language preference — stored in your own browser so the site stays in the language you picked.
We do not run advertising trackers, analytics pixels, session recording, or any third-party marketing scripts on this site.
Why we collect it
Only to reply to you and, if you become a client, to deliver the services you've asked for and meet the record-keeping obligations that come with accounting and tax work. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not add you to a marketing list because you filled in a form.
Who else can see it
Two service providers necessarily touch data from this site:
- Netlify hosts the site and processes contact form submissions on our behalf.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces used here, which means Google receives your IP address when the page loads.
Beyond that, we disclose information only where we're legally required to — for example in response to a valid subpoena or a regulatory obligation.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't become engagements are kept only as long as they're useful and then deleted. Client records are retained for the periods required of accounting and tax professionals — generally at least seven years for tax-related documentation.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to the retention rules above. Depending on where you live you may have additional statutory rights. Contact us through the form and we'll deal with the request.
Children
This site is intended for business owners. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and form submissions are transmitted encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send Social Security numbers, bank details, or other sensitive identifiers through the contact form — we'll set up a secure channel once we're working together.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we'll update the page and revise the date at the top. Material changes will be called out clearly rather than slipped in.
